High Resolution Graphics: What You Need To Know For Your Shop Images

Apple introduced the first high density screen with the release of the iPhone 4, with four times the resolution of standard screens. They named this screen the Retina Display to reflect that the individual dots on the screen (pixels) are no longer discernible to the naked eye, resulting in much sharper and more natural looking graphics and text. These high density displays are now common across mobile devices and are starting to appear on laptop and desktop screens. However the majority of images on the internet do not contain enough data to be able to display all of this additional detail, resulting in images that look just as blocky or blurry as they do on standard screens.
